    25年間に渡り、メタル界に君臨し続けるアイアン・メイデン。リズムの速さ、激しく唸るような２本のリードギター、めまぐるしい展開、叙情的な歌詞を絶叫するヴォーカル、へヴィメタルの持つ全てのエッセンスがここに集約されているといっても過言ではない。
    メタルの黎明期、N.WO.B.H.M.（ニュー・ウェイヴ・オブ・ブリティッシュ・へヴィ・メタル）のムーブメントで確固たる地位を確立、初期のヴォーカリスト、ポール・ディアノからブルース・ディッキンソンに引き継がれた80年代中期に世界的なモンスター・バンドとして『パワースレイヴ』などを筆頭に数々の名作を生み出してきた。
    90年代には何度かの大幅なメンバー・チェンジを経て、99年のディッキソンの復帰と共に、アイアン・メイデンはほも元の黄金期に近いラインナップに収束。新世紀になり更にスケール・アップを続ける鋼鉄のモンスターの勢いはとどまることを知らない。
