    ロンドンでDJ活動をしていたトム・フィンドレイとアンディ・ケイトーによるユニット、グルーヴ・アルマダ。97年に１stアルバム『Northern Star』を発表、続く２ndアルバム『Vertigo』は＜JIVE＞傘下の＜PEPPER＞よりリリースしている。
    ラッパーや女性ヴォーカルをフィーチャーした、ファンキーでソウルフルなダンス・トラックを主に制作。シングル「I See You Baby」は大ヒットを記録し、ノーマン・クック（ファットボーイ・スリム）がリミックスを担当したことによって、さらに注目を集めた。嫌々やっつけ仕事をこなしているかのような怠惰な女性ヴォーカルが、アッパーなファンキー・グルーヴにからむと妙な扇動作用を生まれ、そこがたまらない魅力になっている。
